We have enjoyed rapid growth as an organization and many of our customers have as well. With the evolution and expansion of our product set, and our customers’ accelerating growth and increasing complexity, we are undertaking strategic engagements to deliver complex technical solutions to our Enterprise customers as well as new customer implementations. We are searching for a strong, technically-inclined Project Manager to ensure mutually successful project outcomes and deliver a stellar customer experience along the way.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager will oversee complex, multi-phase engagements, from scoping and kickoff through final delivery and retrospectives. Broadly speaking, this role will have three main areas of responsibility: leading projects and implementations to ensure successful outcomes; providing visibility and ensuring alignment with all key stakeholders; and, over time, helping to build and refine our methodologies and practices.
1. Run technical projects as well as implementations for SaaS and On-Prem deployments, and ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and meets technical and business requirements
- Develop, maintain, and execute against project plans for new customer implementations and/or multi-phase engagements with Enterprise customers
- Define resourcing needs and coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into overall project plans
- Create and maintain status reports, issue logs, and project forecasts
- Work with cross functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Professional Services Consulting, etc.) to manage multiple projects with competing needs and priorities
- Proactively anticipate risks and bottlenecks, identify mitigation steps, develop contingency plans, and escalate when necessary to ensure successful project outcomes
- Fully understand and manage clients to contracts, proposals, and statements of work
- Monitor billable hours for all projects, ensuring consultants input time promptly/properly and ensuring project estimates are not exceeded without prior approval by the customer
- Regularly assess current practices and recommend ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaboratively adjust and develop new plans, templates, and other artifacts
- Leverage our existing systems and tools to their fullest potential, and identify requirements for systems enhancements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in managing B2B / enterprise software development, implementation, and/or infrastructure engagements with cross-functional teams
- Advanced skills in project and resource management applications and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with and influence a range of audiences: technical and non-technical, internal and external, and from individual contributors to executives
- A good understanding of project management methodologies and how to apply them to real world situations
- Ability to foster team atmosphere within each project team, including on-site and remote team members
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce and project management software like Smartsheet
