Sales Engineer - Onsite
Position Summary
This role brings with it an exciting opportunity to be a part of the launch of PrismHR’s new tax product offering.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the sales organization by acting as a technical resource in new client sales, existing client add-on sales, and demoing for Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs) to enable our direct clients with additional growth. Your primary goal will be to bridge the gap between PrismHR’s full suite of products and our prospects’/clients’ needs along with helping to develop a strategy on how to present and speak about the new PrismHR tax product. As a highly respected internal and external resource, you are expected to maintain demonstration environments and provide a lasting product presentation to all stakeholders involved.
Additionally, you will work hand-in-hand with Customer Support Managers (CSMs) and outbound sales professionals to assist in discovery conversations for prescriptive solutioning to pain points and information gathering to create an impactful presentation.
Working within the PrismHR culture also means consistent collaboration internally including updating/maintaining demo talk tracks for various product lines and working to educate other Sales Engineers or team members on PrismHR products, when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead demonstrations of PrismHR products to prospects, clients and/or client prospects to support sales efforts
- Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales teams to improve processes and provide valuable support as a subject matter expert
- Take ownership of the pre-sales process within various product lines, create/maintain demo scripts, outlines for new products, and demonstration scenarios in sandbox environments
- Train and mentor other Sales Engineers or team members on various products or market conditions
- Conduct technical interviews/discoveries with customers to clearly define needs and provide technical expertise to ensure that prospect questions are answered
- Maintain a working knowledge of the industry and competitors in order to act as a valuable resource to the customer and sales team
- Review quotes, RFP’s, plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare an effective response or proposal
- Provide sales tools and training for the sales force on conducting effective presentations and demonstrations on PrismHR products to prospects and potential customers
- Potentially creating presentations for PrismHR’s LIVE conference as well as trade shows that happen throughout the year in order to show product capabilities and best practices within both the sales engineering role and PrismHR’s products.
- Become a subject matter expert on PrismHR Tax and how it is presented to prospects.
- Must be a compelling, passionate, and confident public speaker with communication skills of the highest caliber
- Deliver product presentations both remote and onsite
- Deliver comprehensive and customized product demonstrations focused on functional capabilities in business terms easily understood by the customer
- Demonstrate the products with a focus on the value to the prospect
- 4+ years of technical solution presentations
- 4+ years of HCM experience including benefits, payroll, recruitment or time and attendance software is required.
- Understand sales process, strategies, and solutions selling
- Demonstrate ability to develop, build and maintain strong relationships with sales team, partners, vendors, and customers
- Ability to analyze complex problems or situations and develop effective solutions
- Demo2Win or similar certification is preferred
- Understanding of the PrismHR platform and our target industries including PEO/ASO/HCM, Payroll Service Bureaus, and/or Staffing organizations is preferred
- Prior tax and payroll experience preferred
- CPP or FPC certifications are highly preferred
- Experience working directly with a CPA or EA are highly preferred
PrismHR is a fast-paced SaaS company which provides customers with a cloud-based payroll process software application. PrismHR also provides professional services including system implementation consulting, custom configurations, and training.
