Position Summary
The Product Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to PrismHR customers and is responsible for implementing new customers and consulting existing customers on software and industry best practices for the PrismHR core platform. The role independently leads customers through successful implementations and projects by providing technical, product, and PEO/ASO/staffing industry expertise while coordinating cross-functional delivery and maintaining high standards for quality, documentation, and customer outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own the customer relationship, evaluate business requirements, and provide best-practice guidance on implementing PrismHR solutions from technical and industry perspectives.
- Document requirements and use cases in functional design documents, and interpret Statements of Work that define project scope, assumptions, deliverables, estimated hours, and schedules.
- Maintain complete project documentation and detailed customer notes, and communicate project status proactively and regularly to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Independently manage multiple customer implementations and consulting projects to ensure deliverables meet established quality standards, schedules, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement robust solutions in an Agile environment.
- Design and execute complex merges and customer processes in support of implementation and consulting objectives.
- Deliver effective presentations remotely and in person to customers at PrismHR meetings, customer engagements, and industry events.
- Occasional domestic travel up to 25% is required to attend team onsite meetings, client visits, customer events, industry conferences, and training sessions. Travel may include air and ground transportation.
- Build, maintain and promote relationships with team members, peers across disciplines, and all other company team members ensuring effective coordination of communications and services affecting clients.
- Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on best practices related to the company and department.
- Complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Knowledge of PEO, ASO, staffing, payroll, benefits, and implementation-software processes.
- Ability to work independently, analyze complex business and technical requirements, and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to define and document workflows, requirements, use cases, and business processes clearly and accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and industry concepts to varied audiences.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for remote and in-person customer engagements and industry events.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, tasks, schedules, and customer expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- At least five years of experience with PEO, ASO, or staffing operations; payroll; and implementation software is required.
- Experience defining and documenting workflows and processes is required.
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, or job training may be considered where it demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
- Experience with Pendo is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed.
Physical Demands:

This position is performed primarily onsite in a professional office environment and requires regular use of computers and standard office equipment. The work setting is climate-controlled with typical office lighting and low to moderate noise levels. The role involves extended periods of screen time, in-person collaboration and meetings, and minimal exposure to physical hazards. Domestic travel up to 25% may include customer sites, company locations, conferences, training venues, airports, hotels, and ground transportation and may involve extended sitting as well as standing and walking during client visits and events.
